Quality

Viva of condoms are subjected to a multiplicity of extensive quality controls tests. Each condom is individually examined electronically for hole proliferation. In addition, laboratory tests are undertaken periodically to ensure quality, and results are carefully documented.

For the protection of the consumers the international standard DIN EN ISO 4074:2002 applies since 2005 to condoms (the up to then valid DIN EN 600:1996 replaces). Viva condoms fulfill and exceed this standard without exception and correspond beyond that that to the very strict requirements of the USA and France.

The producer of the Viva of condoms in Malaysia - is certified according to ISO, CE and DIN EN ISO 4074:2002, US FDA, South Africa SABS and France AFNOR.

Important laboratory tests conducted:

bulletThe tightness test, with which condoms in a dipping basin are examined electronically for tightness. The computer registers even the tiniest hole in the condom.

bulletThe blowing up test, with which the condom is blown up, similarly as a balloon, until it bursts. The burst volume is tested to at least 18 litres for a standard condom.

bulletThe stretch test, with which condoms are tested on their elasticity. This must amount to at least 700 per cent, before the test specimen may tears up. The condom can be pulled thus up to 7 times its normal length.
